So thought I would start a blog, sort of a diary, some where to spout my random ramblings.
I better introduce myself just in case anyone ever finds this blog and decides to read it.I am a just turned fifty Mum of two grown up children, mother in law and Granny. Married to my soul mate we've been together 31 years and married for almost 30.
I work full time I recently changed jobs, I was a civil servant but the stress and targets that were involved in the job I was doing was affecting my health so time for a change. I was lucky enough to get a new job with a lot less stress and not the same kind of pressure and targets. I enjoy my new job and its a pleasure not dreading work everyday.
I am a homebird, not really one for nights out, I love to spend time with my family, this is not always as easy as it used to be as the new job involves shifts and the other family members work shifts too. I love to craft, and I enjoy lots of different crafts, card making, scrapbooking, I knit and enjoy the odd bit of cross stitch although not very often now as paper crafting is my 1st crafting love. I love to cook but don't get much time for it these days.
I have an almost 3 year old Granddaughter and she is amazing, such a special little lady.
Boring stuff over, the random stuff begins, I have suddenly realised that although I have made some Christmas cards I have nowhere near enough, I am busy making our special little lady's birthday party invitations just now so I will need to get them sorted pronto.
I needed to go to the craft shop today and I seen so many things I needed, I was good and only bought the things I needed and one magasine which I just could not resist. I am trying to use some of my craft stash mountain so I am only buying essentials just now, I have asked Santa for craft shop vouchers so that should allow me a little bit of extravagance after Christmas.
I think I have rambled on enough for a first post so I am going to go, my family duties call, I have to take my daughter-in-law to the vet as her labrador is trying to take out her stitches from a recent op.
Bye for now
